imigration house visits ?
Last year we had our first visit by immigration. It was low key, they had us sign papers confirming that they had seen our paperwork, that it was up
to date and then they looked around the B&B. No one else was in town at
the time,so we were the only ones they visited.
Les was at immigration yesterday and they told him they will be back to visit all gringos at the end of this month.
Do any of you get house visits from immigration as well ?
Also, a heads up to everyone in Abreojos, as they will surely stop by there before here.

Hi, Blanca
Would this be because of your business?
Historically here in Mulege Pueblo, Immigration visits each foreign-owned business annually.
I've heard that years ago they did a door-to-door in the "Zona Tourista" housing areas of town, too. They were checking that everyone's visas were in
order.

I don't think they speak English ... but I am also sure all you have to do is show your papers ....
so it seems like this is mainly for businesses - cool cool cool. I was just wondering.
This time: Something tells me that since we are all so remote, perhaps they will visit others as well ? we shall soon find out.

My wife has been checked TWICE in the last year. The last time was Monday. Kinda peeves her, as there are plenty of people who dont bother getting a
Lucrativa and get away with it over here.
Instead they check up on the persons who make an effort to be legal.
All part of the "let me see your papers" mentality, I guess.............how bout thinking outside the box, guys, and target the scofflaws??????
