Of all three my Tacoma 4WD Off Roads ('01, '05, '10), never a dented rim... Is your tire pressure too low on the rocks?

TW is right, steel is harder to bend - however I have run a lot of stock aluminum wheels over the years on Baja roads and never bent one. Must be my wife's driving.
