El Tezal East or West in Cabo, What do you know about it
I am looking for a home in the Cabo area. I have found an area called El Tezal, that seems to have some very inexpensive homes. Any input on this
community that appears to be above the Costco/Walmart area??

Not a bad area at all. Not even close the the shoot out area.
May eventually turn in to a more Mexican than Gringo area, but I have several friends who bought and built homes in that area. Several pretty nice
gated communities.

The shoot out was in Oct 2011 at the Plaza Sandero which is on the road to Todo Santos...far from the area Cortez is asking about.
Then several months, can't remember when but is was prior to the G-20 Meeting the Federales "entered" several homes in Rancho Parasido looking for a
vacationing cartel leader...no shots were fired! Rancho is a gated community with "high dollar" homes which is considered part of the El Tezal
Development.
El Tezal is a large area. From what I understand and I am not a Real Estate Agent, there is an East and West El Tezal that is on the Carbo Corridor
on both the ocean side and highway side. I believe it starts as soon as you enter into the CSL area at the first bridge and stops just before the CSL
Country Club Golf Course.
We have friends that live in several different communities of El Tezal...Casa Mexicana, Puerta de Hierra, Cresta de Mar, Punta Arena, Rancho Parasido,
Ventanes and others that I don't know the name of the community but are in the El Tezal Developmant.
El Tezal is a very safe area. Some areas are mega bucks while others are more affordable...just depends on what you want.
