Walking across to Mexicali for visas
Is it easy to walk across the border into Mexicali to get visas and walk back? Any tips? Thanks.

Ken Cooke posted photos of the INM office location at Mexicali, if you search.

Thanks D& . I saw Ken`s pics and was just looking for tips for a first timer at
this crossing such as easy parking on the US side, finding the bank, finding the US walk in line or any other issues unique to this crossing.

I don't know where you would park at the new border crossing as the only parking there is gated and everytime I have gone in there I had an
appointment on the US side for Sentri. If they let you park there, then you would have to walk into Mexico, go down to the crosswalk and into the
Mexico office on the west side of all the traffic.
Old border crossing. You could park downtown and walk in next to MacDonald's. There is an immigration office just before you drive in to your
right. It is on the US side. They may be able to help you but you could not park there and get back to the US unless you go ahead and enter Mexico
and then get in line to exit.
You didn't state why you wanted to walk in but if it were me, I would cross at the new border crossing, park on the right side, go in to immigration,
do my business and then get in line to get out of Mexico if you are not coming down for a few days. We come in to Mexico there about onece a month
around 2:30 - 3:00 pm in the afternoon and the lines are nothing like the mornings any day of the week.
