Why is it so hard?

There is post after post on how to put up pictures, I would love to post pics but it is a pain in the buns when you have to post your pics on another site and then upload from there to Nomad.
Talk Baja allows you to post directly from youe computer so I know the technology is available why can't we adopt that system on this site?
Just wondering:yes:

Doug needs to upgrade Nomad for that feature. He has told us it is coming but just needs some time to.

Putting your photos on a photo hosting site is not a big issue. Just put the ones you want to show here in it. The extra work is resizing to fit here... which is neglected by some. I have tried to help by posting the steps. Some of us have also done the work for others here. Just email me or mcfez the photos and we will post them for you until you master the process.

There was a time in the past you could post directly, I'm sure it can be done but also think the size would be limited.

Yes, you can, but the photo needs to be under 50 kb to show up on the page... and reducing the file size is more work for some than using the resizer on Photobucket or other places... plus, you can only show one photo per post using the Nomad Browse feature... If on a hosted site, you can post multiple images in a a single Nomad post.

Clarification, since David's indicated two things.

First, you can post directly to the site with an image. The request is that it be sized no wider than 800 pixels (for now). The file size of the image must also be below 50kb. This is for most forums here, but not all.

Secondly, and what David is referring to, is that the developers of the forum software being used here have upgraded that feature, and therefore at some point that upgrade will be incorporated into this site. There is a technical reason for me to have the pic file size at less than 50kb. The upgrade would make it easier for me to allow larger file sizes, as well as creating thumbnails of the uploaded images.

:)

I've also provided a link to this online site that can help resize images if you want to post them directly here:
