Very nice pictures! Reflections into a few sights and sounds of life in southern Baja. It is my great pleasure to view many of these daily. And to
enjoy tacos with good friends once in a while (inside joke). Thanks for sharing with all. Tio

The picture with the bees brings back memories. We had guests visiting us at Playa El Burro. We were commenting about no insects. No bees, no flies
etc etc. Than it rained for about 4 hours. The good news is within a day the surrounding hills turned a beautiful green. The bad news is the flies and
bees came out of the hills. We took our guests to Las Casitas for dinner. We had steak and ribs cooked on their outside grill. When they brought
dinner to our tables we made a bet on the number of flies that came with each meal. After spitting out a bee that had attached himself to the coke can
our female guest came in first place with 36 flies. As I remember I came in last with a mere 20. For every fly swatted away 3 would return!! Our
guests left the following morning- the fly infestation lasted about a week before disappearing.

The gentleman second-from-right is Peter Buck. Peter is a notable celeb, as he's one of the founding members of the band R.E.M.
I'm personally a fan of the early work of R.E.M. - including Buck's great work on his Rickenbacker guitar(s). Saw R.E.M. play live multiple times,
including the Del Mar Fair in... oh, say 1984 ?

edit: btw... looks like Peter's using a Gretsch guitar these days.... or at least in Todos Santos:

The Todos Santos Music Festival featured some really top notch acts and raised over $50000 for the Palapa Society that funds scholarships for local
students. I would urge all nomads to come to Todos next year to attend, it's a chance to see some great music and support a worthy cause.

Didn't go this year but last year, Peter Buck took the music to a professional level. Unfortunately, he didn't play that long. Big R.E.M. fan
from the beginning. The Festival is a nice touch for a great town.
