Thanks for the map, DK!

That must have been the reason I saw all the race ribbons on trees along the road a few days ago.
PLUS...there were a few biker pre-runners that passed us like we were standing still!

Went to the race today. Slight change of course. When the racers came north out of Rancho Leonero, they turned north ON MEX 1, and raced for about half a mile or so on the hardtop amid the Sunday traffic, until they turned left off the pavement. Awesome.....

...they're just winding 'er down and awarding the prizes. It was 24 hours of moto mania. We went up a hill and watched the arrivals and, yes indeed there was about 10 times the traffic streaming from the south and past town on the #1. Pretty exciting event!

Thanks for posting the map, David. You are the Maesto de mapas!

Finished the race ....fun route and long... Came in 5th or maybe 4th depending on time....long and dusty with no wind so hard to get up and pass. Lots of spectators out and good security at road crossings for a change.... Time to relax and have a cool one...

For us it is time to remove the dust from the place and clean the windows. Hope the grader makes it out here quickly to repair the torn up roads!

They made the big turn at La Fortuna right by our place. Today we are going to town on the freshly wrecked road that was a mess before the race. Should be interesting. Who knows, maybe the racers knocked some of the bumps down. Fun to watch.

These events are a shot in the arm for the local businesses in Los Barriles. The restaurants were full, and the market was teeming with shoppers. The viewing areas were full of spectators, and everyone had a great time. Kudos to the participants.

Yah, with the new blood running SCORE, look for them to have more than just 3 races (as is the case now).
