Wow!
The SAME boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It's about what you are made of NOT the circumstance.

BB- to keep bees away from hummingbird feeders I spray a LITTLE BIT of Pam on the flowers. A LITTLE BIT, or it will make a mess.

Met you both at the fair in Los Barriles last week and bought your book. It now graces our coffee table. Our guests keep pulling it out, "Hey, that's
not a wood pecker, it's a gilded flicker! See?"
We have other bird books, but yours narrows it down to what we see from our deck so it is an easy quick reference when that little guy might fly away
any second. And your photos are beautiful. Thanks!
No b-tchin\' in the Baja.

I started with Pam but a neighbor said she thought it was too hard to clean off. So now I put a drop of canola oil on my finger and paint the
flowers/holes and it is working.... mostly

really ??? the bees don't like the smell ? the consistency ? I haven't used a feeder in years since it immediately attracted lots of bees. I can't
wait to try this idea out. THANKS.

Gorgeous photos on your blog. I have a vivid memory of driving to Tepic and pulling off the road in the highlands to marvel at the Macaws. Macaws are
exciting to see above you in the trees in Central America. But in the hills outside Tepic you can observe flocks of Macaws flying across the valleys
below you, and it's an impressive sight I'll never forget. Thanks for stirring the memories.

Tepic is right! Stop on the road by this big valley at around 4:00 P.M. and watch them flying below. Saw 2 Bat Falcons (1st time ever) at the same
place. More Military McCaws-

As always, your bird photos are spectacular. I especially love the one you posted here at top, and the one of the masked Tityra.
Beautiful, simply beautiful
