When did Pemex nationalize foreign oil and take over gasoline sales? Near Colonet, Bradley's Service was a Chevron Station (1956+). In El Rosario,
Baja Cactus was a Standard Station and Mama Espinoza's was a Union Station (1956-1960 photos)...

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈpemeks], Mexican Petroleum) is the Mexican state-owned petroleum company, created
in 1938 by nationalized petroleum and expunging all private foreign and domestic companies at that time.

Took a long time to get those other brand name signs taken down but the gasoline all came from PEMEX; not imported

Well, as I said (and can show in photos) until at least 1960, Chevron, Union and Standard Oil had gas station franchises in Baja... I was aware Pemex
was created much earlier... but when were the non-Mexican brand gas company stations replaced by Pemex... in Baja... I am guessing between 1960 and
1965, as I never saw anything but Pemex once I began going south?
