Sentri - South Dakota - Conundrum

In line for Sentri interview, and ready to begin S.D. registration

1 - Plate change would be forthcoming

2 - S.D. will have my title for awhile

Shall I proceed with registration change, delaying interview until new plates are on car?

Will I have option to delay the interview if necessary?

Not sure about your question...

But your car registration and you as a person are seperate.

I registered my car online with one license plate, but was missing the front plate. To get the second plate, DMV made me get brand new plates (with different numbers). SENTRI office didn't even look at it twice. I told them that the plates had changed since I had registered.

I think they realize things change since there's months between application and registration and interivews....

Jeff, you don't need the title to enroll in Sentri, only the registration, insurance, and plates.

South Dakota registration and getting the plates is a pretty rapid process.

Excellent. I'll get started with S.D. Now, just need to get title from Loreto here (San Diego) to proceed.

chuckie, Sentri is Secure Electronic Network for Travelers Rapid Inspection

Phil . . . see you soon!

If you are going through Clay County, She gave me my number for the plates and I had that way before when I actually received the plates.

If you have permanent resident status in Mexico, what good are SD plates if your suppose to drive Mexican plated vehicle.(Assuming)

comitan . . . I suppose it is my general lack of proper concern. Have one car with US plates, a wife who's Mexican but only has American papers, and I have passports to match all plates at my house. Uncertain which plates I am supposed to have.

Pescador . . . Title and plate numbers aside, it is the registration (S.D.) I'll need in hand, result of the title change.

Thanks for all the input.

You people worry too much.
Drive....enjoy....quit worrying about things that have never happened.
When, and if, they do happen....make the adjustment.
