Her First Fish Was Caught In Baja

Last week off San Juanico. Her first try. Ended up hooking 5. Threw them all back except one.

Sure beats the hot ranch here. We are starting to get some monsoonal flow now, isolated T storms and a little rain. Goin to Prescott tomorrow to help cover some shifts, someday the fam would love to see San Juanico, Maybe get a wave or three. Peace

That's the way to do it. I used to keep a bottle of soy sauce and tube of wasabi on the boat for the same exact thing.

Wow - is that a Penn 309 level wind? On my very first trip to Baja we were fishing live bait off Carmen and the first fish I caught was a 30# yellowtail. I had the biggest reel I owned - the smaller 209. Cracked the sideplate and the drags were shot. heh, no kidding.

Santiago:

T'was a Penn!!! Funny thing you noticed because we all had a conversation about it while trolling around. Seems it's a great pole. I didn't even have to wind the line with my thumb as this thing did it for me. I'm a novice when it comes to fishing.
