Refilling new style 20lb Propane cylinder

I KNOW that there was a string here in the last few years that explained how to refill the new tanks without the screw in the side of the valve but I searched and cannot find it.

We have old style 20lbers that we have been refilling off of our big tank for years. Just bought a new 20lber and are unsure how to proceed.

I read other forums talking about needing a special valve but the only valves I find on-line are for refilling 1lb bottles from a 20lb.

Can anyone get me back to that old string or tell me how they are refilling these?
Muchas gracias

OPD tank. Interior and exterior fill threads. Interior are POL. The tank has a float to shut off the flow of filling liquid automatically. Some propane plants down here hate them. They will fill at a rate of a gallon every 5 minutes which the filler will cut off and say "Lo Siento, no!"

Many USA propane bulk plants sell parts. One of which is a POL "adapter" that allows a standard (Mexican) fill nozzle to fill a tank with a gas leak safety valve in the POL assembly. With this adapter all Mexican gas plants can easily fill the pot.

When the adapter is screwed into the tank and connected to nothing, opening the pot's valve will release gas. Then you know it will work OK.

Hope This Helps
