Good News! CFE rates in La Paz rolled back
http://www.octavodia.mx/articulo/43425/bajan-tarifa-electric...

Another point of view is that this (increase of the subsidy) will simply postpone the day when folks are forced to do something about
their inefficient use of power.
I wish the CFE would instead of encouraging wasteful energy consumption, channel those subsidies into financing home improvements to REDUCE domestic
energy use.
Those who most benefit from this change in zone you report, are a minority of heavy air conditioning users whose cooling "needs" eat up the
subsidies. This really isn't necessary; many of my neighbors here in La Paz rarely if ever even run air conditioners; for example, the June-July
bill here at this 3-bedroom house was 260 pesos... |

It would be interesting to have a LaPazian nomad drive out by the site and report on activity. I hope it is not yet another paper project.....
