Guadalupe Canyon recently?

Has anyone been to Guadalupe Canyon lately? Past few months? Is Canyonman Rob still the "go to" guy?

John, I been wanting to go to see whats going on with Arturo's camps.Rob is running Campo los manantiales,Arturos campsites have no hot water, according to Rob you can still camp there but no hot water, their website still close for Arturos camps..Personaly I don't like Ernesto's set up on the other side of the canyon,Arturo's was more private, for my taste..Who wan'ts to do a day trip...?

John, ever since Arturo's hot water line was cut off by his own family, that pretty much ended the fantastic place that it was. As you may know, Rob is married to Arturo's daughter and that was the connection. Dry camping in the desert is okay, but hot running water (and/ or a cool mountain stream) sure make it an oasis.

As BAJACAT states, the other side of the canyon (as well as Los Manatiales, above Arturo's) just doesn't have the beauty, privacy, quality that Arturo's had.

SAN MARCOS & EL SOL Were my favorites for many years....when people fight we lose.Same thing happen at Los Arenales in Primo Tapia,(SAND DUNNES),they put a fence right in the middle, and people stop coming in.I remember you have to wait in line to get to the Sand Dunnes..
