The Baja 3010

Back in 2006 I got the crazy idea of riding my Aprilia "crotch-rocket" all the way to Cabo San Lucas...from Phoenix AZ. I got toegether with my buddies, we saddled up and took off. 2 race bikes and 2 cruisers plus a support vehicle chasing us with all of the necessary equipment and an empty trailer just in case we had a spill.
It ended up being an epic trip...for us of course...here are some of the shots of our 3010 miles round trip.

After lunch in Santa Rosalia. Me, with the helmet on, and my buddy Juan.

Buenaventura beach

Between Pichilingue and Balandra, La Paz

Riding on the sand with almost slick tires is not fun...well perhaps a little.

Do not remember exactly where this is, sorry

If the kick-stand does not work in the sand...

Parking the bike...

40 miles...or so...from Loreto

Tecolote Beach, taking a break and ejoying the view

Refilling process

As I sat there staring at the peaceful Sea of Cortez, I realized what I already knew. A place more beautiful I will never know. The Baja, a place that overwhelms my senses with beauty; a place that cradles my soul.
