A leisurely trip down Mex 1
We're going to slow troll Mex 1 from our Colonet base to Los Barriles, taking about 10 or 12 days at the end of October/start of November. No camping
this trip...all low key motels and restaurants.
Thinking about :
Beachcombing at Malarimo
Checking out La Bocana Adventures
A different place than El Morro
Exploring Lopez Mateos
We know some other places we'll see/eat/stay on the trip, but suggestions about ANY of this route to East Cape is appreciated.

Playa Malarrimo: From many others: Be careful of the beach... to the east (north) towards Scammon's Lagoon (Laguna Ojo de Liebre) wind blown dry sand
covers quick-sand-like mud that can swallow 4WDs... ask Neal Johns! There is a short-cut road that was described and we posted the satellite images of
it... a little searching or if help needed, will dig it all up. The fish camp Malarrimo is a different place, further west (south) on the big hook of
Baja. It is accessed by a graded road from Bahia Tortugas. A road continues on almost to Playa Malarrimo from there.
MALARRIMO: Bad to be near!

Don't do Malarrimo without a second vehicle/quad and lots of supplies! It is treacherous.
No worries

And if you haven't been to Campo Rene, stay there too....it is a unique bird watching locale with a nice lagoon and restaurant. Very basic cabins,
very reasonably priced. It is between highway 1 and Punta Abreojos.
