Asuncion to La Bocana to Abreojos

Blanca? Shari? Anyone else?
Is the coastal road passable with 2WD standard car lately?
Even if it's slow going?

I will NOT be in my own vehicle that I know and trust.
I WILL be solo. By now, you know I like an adventure.

This image from another life and another vehicle exactly 20 years ago. :P:P:P

You wanna have 4 wheel drive, this is Baja! The road is do - able. Whether it is fun or not really is a day to day thing. It is a lovely trip, we do it all the time. The fishing, YT, is way up and esp. in Asuncion, but here too!

Come visit La Bocana

And always remember, life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by those moments that take our breath away.

People travel this road in 2-wheel drive all the time. Gets rough/washboard just North of La Bocana.

The road IS very doable in 2WD. Drop your air pressure to where the tires start to show a little bulge. That system is better than an air gauge because the bulge accounts for the vehicle weight. That bulge coul show anywhere between 12 and 18 lbs.
Let the tires absorb the washboard road.
BTW...in our fixed up FJ Cruiser, with about 15 PSI, we can make the road from BA to Pta. Abreojos in about 2 hrs and 15 minutes.. After La Bocana, you have the salt flats...easily doable at 120 mph.

Okay nomads ... I just laughed out loud for almost 1/2 a minute.
I'm taking Udo's advice on pressure.
And then doing like Woody said ... step on it.
65 miles? Schmiles! Let's see what this puppy can do!
I'll get my friends at the nearest military checkpoint to help me.

Shari, I'll call you from Tortugas and see you about 27 minutes later. :P

Night, night, nomads.

I'm guessing this set of wheels is NOT appropriate.
