The Left Wing is the enemy of the people who believe in freedom and all the principals this nation was founded upon. So sad that left wing radicals
use twisted words and deceit to grant government complete control over us. "If you like your health insurance... you can keep it!" "The average family
will see $2,500 a year in savings..." LOL
Once you give Washington control of YOUR body (health care), then there will be nothing that can stop government from dictating every aspect of your
life (what you eat, where you can travel, ...).

It won't help as long as people like Sean Hannity spew out their lies, night after night and people like DK believe them no matter how often they are
proven to be lies. And DK, please, look at which party is trying to control our personal lives --- especially the lives of women.
DK -- for positive results of gun control, please study a bit about Australia. And besides, the Democrats are NOT trying to take away all guns and
never have been about that.
For positive results of national health care, please study a bit about Canada, Germany, France, etc.. If those people were not happy, they would be
demonstrating in the streets. Also, please remember that the ACA is a Republican plan, a conservative Republican plan that was passed instead of the
well needed single payer plan. The ACA is a windfall for private insurance companies.
This is and always was a progressive liberal country. The Founding fathers were NOT fundamental Christians, they were the Children of the
Enlightenment. They were liberal, in fact radical for that time. The wacko right led by Ted Cruz want to turn this country into something it never
was!
Can someone please bring back the old GOP that made more sense. Eisenhower is rolling in his grave. Maybe the Republican Senator from Maine,
Margaret Chase Smith can come back and do as she did before. I could list a lot of really good Republicans from the past, and they would not be
welcome in today's GOP.
DK --- you are a perfect example of one of the pawns in the current GOP strategy. You vote totally against your own best interest.
And, to see the better way to move forward with the economy, study California --- Gov. Moonbeam and the Democrats are doing a GREAT job.
Now, I shall not return --- nuff said.

the pre-obamacare system was such that the uninsured or inadequately insured were driven to bankruptcy if they got a catastrophic illness or injury...
hoping the obamacare system will rectify that. pre-obamacare system provided a very bad insurance system for the self-employed or anyone not on a
corporate employer health coverage.
obamacare may be best that can be done without single payer system. if you look at all of the g20 and EU countries, countries with best and most
economical health care systems are single payer type.
USA insurance system is crappy except for government employees and employees of mid- to large-size corporations, and everyone is being fleeced by
insurance companies.
single payer is way to go.

David,
How many guns and what types are they that you own?
Are they obtained legally or at a neighborhood gun show?
How many people have you killed?
Have you ever needed a gun to protect you and yours?
Why aren't you serving your country in the Armed Services protecting your fellow countrymen/women from the commie leftist hordes.
How many vets/LEO's have you talked to who are affected by their killing of others ( I counsel them re: their PTSD as they attempt to recover from
such experiences) ? I respect and value the need for such individuals, so am not going on that tangent.
I am not anti-gun as there is some excitement with the power of holding/discharging a firearm.
I AM opposed to the mentality and kulture of what your logic suggests.
A friend from Nevada who was a game warden for years (trained to use it, etc....but never had to) was visiting for a week of backroad moto-camping up
here in the commie wastelands of Canada. He shared after several days that he felt naked and vulnerable without his gun...and we had an interesting
discussion of that feeling and the whole issue.
We had some encounters with "strangers" out in the backcountry and he admitted to his confusing experience of his cultured fear....as opposed to the
real-life experience of meeting these unarmed people who were kind, friendly, and non-threatening.
It was confusing for him as a good person...he began to have the experience of not needing to be fearful in such circumstances. He admitted it opened
his eyes....and heart...to such conflicting perceptions.
He is NOT the kind of guy I mistrust with his weapon(s).
It is cultural issue, David, in a much more complex way than your political and simplistic logic presents.
You are an intelligent guy....and probably a sensitive guy (I like the pic of your cat in a different post ["Cats need love, too"] ).
I am not dissing you here and am trying to keep my promise to you to not attack your political views....but I am inviting you to see what else is
possible for you to consider before you paint yourself totally into a corner based on fear and 300 year-old thinking/ present indoctrination.
"If things exist exactly and only like you think they do, then everyone else would perceive it that way....
Since that is not the case, then things must exist differently..."
Please consider the possibilities...

I have a close relative who is a TSA agent. Just a person making a living and raising their kids. It makes no sense to target people because of the
job they have. This is really, really, sad, and I am now pretty worried about my relative being in the line of fire for no good reason. I guess we
could all be in danger when there is a nut case with a beef against "whatever" if we happen to be in the line of fire. As far as I am concerned, this
is not a gun debate. This is a mental health issue.

Accidents are the number 5 cause of death in America. I don't see anybody trying to take the right of stupidly away.
The guns issue is about about control.
If you read the bill of rights as a whole, they were written so the populous/states could use violence if the National Government became to powerful.
Before you attack me, I am a clear thinking moderate and believe that neither party has your best interest at hart. They are owned by special interest
groups(labor, business, tech ET all). Those group are all about advancing their own interest.
The crazies have no interest in getting a lobby, their doctors do.
