The Hits Just Keep On Coming

This has been one of the most amazing weeks of fishing ever. Went out this morning and caught a couple of really nice bulls, a 50# wahoo and released a marlin at the boat. Final tally for the week:
5 marlin, 17 dorado, and 2 wahoo.

It was an expensive week, yesterday I had a big bull rip a rod holder right off the boat and head south with about 250 bucks worth of fishing gear. Didn't use much fuel though, we were back on the beach everyday by 10am at the latest.

That is some great fishing! Too bad about the gear, we have been using dog leashes as rod leashes.

Mono, cost be damned. My proudest moments are when some mean ole fish breaks my old tired gear. Fishing is one of those rare sports where the hunted can hurt the hunter and his gear. Second proudest is when I buy a replacement and can jawjack about the how and why; an opportunity a natural born hablador looks for all his days.

Yum!!! A couple of good days fishing. Pretty good catching too I might add. They don't always go hand in hand.
