You don’t need a number pad. Did this on iPad by pressing and holding “0” to select degree symbol: °

Google and other navigation apps do not require degrees and minutes any longer. Put 38 20 35.13 N, 109 39 58.53 W into any navigation, and it will get you there. Sure you could fight your keyboard and use 38°20'35.13"N, 109°39'58.53"W - but it makes no difference.
