As of yet there are no commercial flights into San Felipe. There is rumor that Seaport airlines will begin service from San Diego sometime next year.
You can fly them from San Diego to Imperial County and then rent a car from there or cross the border into Mexicali and take the ABC bus down. I flew
Seaport from Imperial County to San Diego recently and found the experience to be positive so I hope that they do extent service into San Felipe soon.

There was a brief time when Aero Mexico dropped in on San Felipe with a Twin Prop (Otter?). They landed at the runway along the road to the beach of
Playa Grande, north of town. That has been closed for a few years now, but until the paved jet port was built in 1974, Playa Blanca was a better
runway than the one close to town (was by the south Pemex).

My wife and Son are going to fly from Sacramento to San Diego ( $79.00 ) then fly Seaport from San Diego to El Centro ( $49.00) .Then I will pick them
up and go South to the house.

If you are already in Mexico and want to avoid the hassle of waiting to cross at the border to pick them up at the Imperial County Airport...they
can take a cab to the border and walk across to meet you in Mexicali. It is easy and a reasonable price compared to the long border wait.

Hi Grace, Where do you park on the Mexicali side to pick them up? I have a Sentry pass,so it does not take very long to cross.
