Dermatologist, La Paz or Los Cabos
Can anyone recommend a good dermatologist in La Paz or preferably Los Cabos?

We really like Dra. Judith Esther Yarhi Carrasco 612-127-0686. You can look her up on a websearch and see degrees and office.

My wife needed to have a cyst removed from her back, something that she had done this past summer in the states. She was told it would probably grow back so this was not a surprise.

We got a recommendation from a neighbor to use a dermatologist in Cabo, his office is in the AmeriMed building. We really did not know he was affilitated with AmeriMed as that would have given us a negative vibe.

Anyway, we arrived for the appointment and the receptionist had us wait a few minutes before sending us to the doctor's office. He was alone in his office and spoke fairly good English. He said that it would take 45 minutes or so therefore I left to do a few chores.

Got back an hour later, checked with the receptionist and my wife was still upstairs. A half hour later she came out and gave me a blow by blow account.

She was absolutely thrilled with Dr. Humberto Cantu. He checked her over from head to toe, burned off any number of skin tags and such, then proceeded to remove the 2 cysts. All the time he was happily humming while working, obviously loving his job. He took plenty of time to inspect and treat my wife, and answer all of her questions, something that is sort of rare these days.

A consultation costs 700 pesos and includes a follow up visit. The cyst removal was extra and very reasonably priced.

She could not recommend him more highly. The Ameri Med office is located on the south side of the main street leading into Cabo, just past City Club. A added bonus is that a great bakery is located in the same complex, across from the street from City Club.

Was hoping to see Dra. Yarhi but she is on sabbatical away from La Paz. Any other recommendations for an English speaking dermatologist in La Paz (or Loreto)? Dr. Cantu sounds good but Cabo is too far.
