activities in the sea of cortez
Hi,
I was wondering if in addition to kayaking there are also panga tours to the islands from Loreto or from Mulege that can last one day. And, if so,
what there is to see in the islands.
Are there tours that combine snorkeling with going on foot on these islands which last a day?
thanks a lot..

Yes there are pangas that will take you where you wish to go, the islands in Conception bay are small, inhabited mostly by birds. The snorkeling is
fun around these islands, have done it many times.
I say contact Mateo, speaks fair inglish, tell him Alacran sends you, I know him well.

Mateo is a sportfisher and does not provide diving equipment. If you are wanting to do the islands in the Bay hit up Daniel or Chicho on Santispac
beach. The both do the bay. Water is pretty cold and wetsuits are needed. If you want a full tour then we do that at Dive Mulege and our office is
in town. The tours include all equipment including wetsuits, mask & snorkel, fins and weight belts. We also provide food for full day tours.
Our next tour available because of wind is Thursday. We can combine a tour with diving and hiking. You can contact us at 615 107 84 07. We are
driving the trails today in our Rzr so if we do not answer send us a text message or leave a VM and we will call you back.

panga trips to Coronado Island from Loretoyou can pick one up at the little marina in town or arrange one with any of many local tour companies. the
latter also do trips to Danzante and Carmen, usually from Puerto Escondido.
Coromado Island is very interesting geologically, the pangero will take you around it, pointing out various formations, and stopping to watch the sea
lions at the north east tip before taking you to a very white sand beach where you can snorkel, hike, relax. the companies usually will provide a
basic lunch/drinks, the drivers from the marine cooperative don't but their trips are generally cheaper. the companies will also provide snorkeling
equipment, wet suits, etc, check to see if that's included.
reality\'s never been of much use out here...
