What days/weekends to avoid?
Over the next 8 to 10 weeks which days should we avoid going down to Bay Of C with maybe a side trip to B of LA? Want to avoid off road races, etc.

Semana Santa (Spring Break/ Easter Vacation) is the busiest days on Baja beaches. The Baja 1000 is in November and the Baja 500 is in June. The San
Felipe 250 is in March, so that is the only time to avoid San Felipe, but you didn't mention San Felipe, so no worries.

It is a 2 week vacation in Mexico, and if you have 4WD then just go to beaches at the end of 4WD roads to avoid crowds. Also, go to non-beach
destinations during that vacation (cave art sites, palm canyons, fossil sites, mines and missions, etc.). Baja has so much, and most of it is not on
the coast!

Driving Hwy 1 during Semana Santa should be avoided, I did that... once, lots of crazies -- wrecks and near wrecks. Camping, on the other hand, is an
interesting experience. The sights, sounds, and smells from cooking are thoroughly enjoyable. Don't discount vacationing on the beach during that
time if you can do the driving part outside of peak travel days.

Oh, but you have to enjoy overmodulated Norteño music at 4 am and beyond!

An unrecognized crossing frustration occurs on dia de valentino, 14 Feb. This year it's on a tuesday. When it occurs on a weekend it is hell on earth.
