In all seriousness, it's awesome to hear that the cooperatives are being proactive in protecting their fisheries.

The new coop-owned restaurant on the water and the cabanas can only help increase the amount of tourism revenue coming into town. The food there was excellent and they've hired a friendly fellow who speaks good English to run the place (his name escapes me at the moment).

Next door, the cabana office also rents kayaks, arranges sport charters, and has a surprisingly good selection of fishing tackle.

And of course, Blanca's B&B is gorgeous. Hope we get to stay there soon!

It is an excellent example of how conservation efforts can work. Or I can say that the fish were/ are always there in the same quantity as there ever was.
You just don't know where to look. The ocean in it's infinite bounty............yeah.

We recently stayed at the cabins they built right next to the restaraunt.
All I can say is BRAVO!
When we fished the estuary for Grouper it was all you wanted but catch and release...
I wanted to spend some time on my own drifting the channels for Halibut but alas did not have my panga or the time...
The fare at the restaraunt is excellent. The female Chef was trained in Ensenada. The staff was very accomodating and because we were one of the first to stay there they readily accepted and asked us for crtitiques...

The prices for both food and accomodations were very reasonable!

I highly reccomend a visit
