Hwy. 5 blocked?

Husband and son & friends are in San Felipe and they're hearing that Hwy 5 is closed by some kind of protesting?

Does anyone have any information about it? He doesn't want to sit there with the kids in the car if they can stay and enjoy the day.
Any info is appreciated! Thank you!

This article says it's fishermen and their families blocking the road both ways at Km 185 in protest to issues with PROFEPA:

It was just a one-off protest for a few hours (that could happen again...). Road has been fine since.

Hi Dave,

We didn't drive the motorhome this time we drove the new2013 Tundra 4 x 4 Rock warrior. The first 10 miles after Chapala was heavily potholed and muddy since it rained two days before. The rest of it was a breeze. door-to-door 425 miles. The border crossing at Mexicali was a long one, two hours. I presume because the race and Carnaval.
David as always, Great to hear from you.

Congrats on the new 4WD Toyota... You never need to ask about any road condition with one of them!

In the past year I got another set of those tires you turned me onto in 2002 at Camp Gecko for my 2010 Tacoma... Dakotas.
