This Eagle
Rescued with burnt wings by a fireman, this eagle was given to my ranch friend for care, here near Rosarito.
It is a golden is it not?
American by birth, Mexican by choice.

Looks just like the one Sam rescued and kept in the old Donna Moe's Pizza shop in Mulege years ago. Finally healed up and was released back to
nature.
Beautiful birds.
Makes me wonder if falconry would be a good sport to have in Baja Sur?

Wow, amazing. Looks like a Golden. Do you know approx height/wingspan? Goldens are quite large, "muscular" birds. More substantial than hawks.
Hope it fully recovers and can be released. They are incredible to see (and hear) in flight.
Very impressive hunters: They sound like small jet fighters coming out of the sky if you are lucky enough to be near one that is diving in a quiet
area.

Odd pose but looks like Red-tailed Hawk. Yellow eyes means probably a young bird.

Red-tailed hawks seem to be the favored hunting bird used by falconers. Peregrine falcons are also popular.

Harris's Hawks are popular for hunting in deserts because they hunt in packs, like wolves.
