SCORE and (lack) of motorcycles
ever since roger came in there's been rumblings about SCORE racing being more and more about the TT's and less and less about anything else. there
really isn't much interest in the SCORE series, ricky brabec is the only real player chasing the title, with colton udall out with a broken leg. with
BITD, national hare and hound, district, and the GNCC series there's just so much more bang for the buck out there.
this from an article in a san diego newspaper roger norman talking about the Imperial Valley 250.
“There hasn’t been much support from those guys, and they were the ones seeking to race in SCORE events in the United States,” Norman said. “Their
future is up to them. The door is open, but only temporarily.”
is the writing on the wall?

The CBS special on the San Felipe 250 would lead you to think it was only Trophy Trucks racing... not a mention of the other classes, or bikes, quads,
etc.

Got to admit, there is a lot more support for quads and motorcycles outside of Score. Too bad...we get a lot of support in Mexico.

RN has consolidated several MC classes and that has a lot of bikers ticked off. Their thinking is you can't compete with the big boy factory backed
guys so why race. Also for some reason Honda decided to pull out and they were a main stay in SCORE. When SCORE started cutting the course for the
Sportsman I heard from several guys who were not happy they were doing less miles. Also the top racers were complaining they had to pass the slow guys
twice. The cost of racing a bike is just getting too expensive and the mom and pop guys are bailing. We'll see what happens in the next few years.
Racing races in the US is too controlling unlike Mexico. A race down south to La Paz every year may be Rogers undoing even for the 4 wheelers.

Look at the Dos Mares 500 entries. the La Paz Coyote 300... or the Cabo 500 when it comes up. Lots of participation without factory teams. Score
could learn something. (Right!) These races want racers! Score doesn't seem to care about the bikes.

well the top riders seem to be doing just fine racing WORCS,NHHA,BITD,etc and leaving SCORE and its bloated race program to the deep pocket trophy
truck crowd! hey, why not?
and there's plenty of great local racing for the masses
