I love the variety of beaches that we humans prefer. Kind of like our taste in Men and Women. Everyone has their "type". Me, I like a nice, smooth,
sandy bottom and a hollow right point break with large waves. That won't be found on the Sea of Cortez, generally.

Brilliant white granitic sand, fairly steep incline into the water for excellent swimming, very clear warm water but no waves, and seldom any wind,
backed by very close rugged big mountains, and we have always (so far) had it all to ourselves. Caught a lot of Sierra off that beach, too.
Also, between BOLA and Animas Bay are several excellent southeast facing beaches/coves, but you cannot drive to any of them.

Yep, that's the one!!! Thanks, JZ. That wonderful beach lies just north of "La Mona" (on the BOLA) in the Baja Almanac. It's a short walk (less
than 1/4 mile?) north from La Mona.

I agree with chippy, that Zihua bay is a toilet.
I'll be checking out Troncones this summer a few times for the surfing... keeping Nayarit off my radar for now just because of those water quality
issues.
As far as remote beaches go, I love them but, well, I've had a gun pointed at me on one and some guys started harassing my wife on another while I was
surf fishing.... I encouraged them to leave in short order but the guy with the gun took some persuading.
There is something that just can't be beat about coral sand and that crystal clear water that usually comes with it.

Just curious about just what North beach you are referring to. If it is on Isla Mujeres, then totally agree. There are so few beaches around the
world, and I have visited many, that can offer that incredible azure water and shallow walkout.
