Live View from Outer Space

It switches cameras and when it does the screen goes gray for a short time.

I signed up for "spot the station". I get an email when it's due to pass over my house. It works great.

Here's the link... http://spotthestation.nasa.gov/index.cfm

Looks like two opportunities to catch a glimpse of the place we love today around 1:25 PM PDT, and again at 3:05 PM PDT, depending on which camera view is streaming. You may have to watch for a few minutes depending on where Baja is in the field of view. The camera views seem to change less often than earlier this week. I like the forward viewpoint best. Happy viewing and thanks TW for for the heads up. This is awesome. :bounce:

Feel free Nomads to post up your screenshots.

Awesome flyover just moments ago, with aft camera working well. I'll post up some pix later, after work.

I subscribe to the space station alerts. Just received notice it will be over San Diego early Wednesday morning. Will probably provide some good views of Baja as well. Five minutes is a long time for viewing, usually it's only a minute or two.

Here's the alert:

united-states-california-san-diego-am-bounces@lists.hq.nasa.gov: SpotTheStation / Time: Wed May 14 5:22 AM, Visible: 5 min, Max Height: 52 degrees, Appears: WSW, Disappears: NNE
