Tecate toMulege

Actually considering I haven't been down the road in 20+ years I may have a different perspective than most. Other than the 3 detours (all very short) for road work I was very surprised at the conditions I found compared to what I remember. When I consider that the road is a 1000 miles log, has maybe 5 major cities in that length and all the road work takes place out in the middle of God Knows Nowhere, it's a wonder the road is still there. Many areas are way wider than i remember and the road to BOLA is a freeway now compared to yesteryear, overall it'sway better than I expected.
The traffic is what i found the most concerning. Ensanada to SQ corridor crap, worse than the LA freeways. South of El Rosario, 3 or 4 times as busy as I remember.
Mex 3 to Tecate, HOLY SMOKES! That's worse than an F1 race in Monaco! The truckers are empty north bound and running free! Passing you, crap. If you don't watch front and back they'll be beside you with traffic in their lane coming at you. You gotta step on the brakes to get them past you in time. That goes for cars too!
No wonder there are so many crosses on the road side! Those folks are nuts!
