Burritos in San Bartola?
I have had several people tell me there is a great place for burritos in San Bartola but no one can remember the name of the place. I figured if they
were really that good, someone on this board would know. Heading down to SJD Friday to get my daughter and was hoping to find this place.

San Bartolo (it is a small town along Hwy. 1 between San Antonio and Los Barriles, famous for Mangos)
'San' is a male saint (names ending in an O), and Santa is female (names ending in an A).
Examples:
Santa Marķa
San Ignacio

The orange painted place on the mountain side of the road near the south end of town. Never knew the name.
Not sure that I would call the food exceptional, but, the place is busy and we have eaten there several times on the way to SJD airport.
Post your thoughts if you try it....

And don't miss the fire-oven pizza/bakery in El Triunfo while in the 'hood.

The place you want is The Oasis - or that used to be the name of it. Bus stops there for the bus driver's lunch. Years ago was a faded yellow.
Could now be the pink place that captkw mentioned. It's on the left a couple doors down from the newer, more 'upscale' orange restaurant someone
else mentioned.
I prefer their beef empanadas (empanadas con reyes) to burritos, but to each her own. If you love hot salsa, ask for the stuff the keep behind the
counter
Muchas mango dulces for sale in the little tienda across the street.
Enjoy!

We have eaten at every place in San Bartolo over the years. None of them serve anything special. Just pretty average Mexican street food. The place
in El Triumfo started out as a top ten place to visit years ago. Like many other such wonders is has fallen off in quality as the prices have shot
thru the roof. Expect an average meal at astronomical prices. Quaint is getting more and more expensive here in Baja. The owner comes from Todos
Santos - go figure.
Every beautiful beach in the world needs a few condo towers - NOT.

If you haven't been to the El Triunfo Cafe, I think you should go there, Alan. The prices might be high but the place is enchanting and the food is
good, especially their artisan breads, baked goods.
The owner is a tatooed used to be motorcycle group member, scary looking but really fun to talk to. He has been living in Baja for a very long time.
