Biker Killed during pre-run of the Baja 500

Anyone hear anymore on this.

Heard Larry Rossler killed a biker, June 5th, coming down from mikes in prerun truck head on a non race bike cruising up to mikes with his kids following on bikes.

Also heard that Larry was flown out of the country.

And this from another sourse:

One of the Ensenada papers reported on it. The dead man is from Ensenada but currently lives in Ontario. Apparently the race team that was involved got him helicoptered to a hospital where he died. Police did not find out until he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The guy is a race fan, his son said they were travelling backwards on the official race course and knew it was the race course.

They also reported that the family is grateful because the team that hit him is paying for all the expenses even though they are not required to. It is not a big story in Ensenada yet.

yes heard the same...Even though this was on the official race course....it was prior to the race and not reporting the accident could be problematic.

its was originally thought to be the #100 cody parkhouse car but that is incorrect. here's a link to the story.

This was always my biggest fear racing in Mexico. Prayers to the families involved. LR is one the best and most experienced racers to ever race baja, and I'm sure he and the herbst will do everything they can for the victim's family.
