Wherever you go don't even think of using Pacmesa in La Paz. We took our car there for a compressor and they swapped out our condenser for one out of
a wreck.

If you turn left at the Soriana in La Paz and go down that street a few blocks, then on the left you will see one - it is directly across the street
from the Pemex. I can't remember their name but they come highly recommended.

Try Refrigeracion Valadez. They did a nice job on my T100 last summer. I’m told the proprietor teaches refrigeration at a local college.
It’s located a couple of blocks east of 5 de Febrero in La Paz. The address on my receipt is:
Encinas E/Ramirez y Gmo. Prieto
Proprietor: Luis Manuel Valadez Castro
Phone: 125-77-77
email: refrigeracionvaladez@gmail.com

if all you need is a bit of refrigerant, just go to autozone, they will put it in for you basically for free, you just have to buy the refrigerant.
This is only for 1995ish and newer vehicles using 134a refrigerant.
If it is a constant leak buy the 134a that has UV die in it already. This will help whoever you end up taking it to if you want the leak fixed.
only about $3.00 more for UV or so for that mix.
If you know what you are doing, I have gauges and a vacuum pump I can lend. I just finished a R12 to 134a conversion on a 1986 project truck.
Did the final road test yesterday to LaPaz, 40 degrees at the vent, so nice.

thanks, I think it is the blower / fan, I do get cold air on high, the blower is making some noises. At the lower fan levels not getting anything out
of the vents. It is like it only has one speed, high and making noises. It is a 1990 toyota tacoma.
thanks Brian

in that case you do not need a ac guy. A general mechanic who likes toyotas is all you need. Your self diagnoses sounds good. Fans making
noises are a pretty much a sure thing. Also could be leaves in the system, but you do not know till it is opened up.
On my truck replacing the fan takes 20 minutes at most. I just pulled it 2 days ago to get debri out. All vehicles are different depending how
compact they are in general and where they put the fan.
I went to www.rockauto.com to find out how much the fan costs, and I am amazed they do not have the part listed. Same with autozone. So you need to
get on some toyota forums and find what other vehicles used the same fan, I would bet there are others, but only toyota junkies will know. Just
search forum and toyota and join one that appears closest and they will be able to help you. Because believe me, when rockauto.com does not have
it it can be deep do do.
Once you have details on the part I would buy it and get it down here. Generally it hard to rebuild these motors. Then hand that to the general
mechanic and you should be fine.
The loss of speeds also could be a second thing. again this same general mechanic should be able to replace that too.

sights tomorrow.

some fans are really hard and take some know how. I remember doing a Volvo about 20 years ago. A friend was a Volvo service manager and gave
me tips, and told me it was a tough one. And it was, if I was not a decent bolt turner i would not have been able to do it.
I did a youtube search of ac or heater fan/blowe removal with your model .
here is one i found but newer model. could be similar.

Thanks for the info, checked around the internet this evening, I believe I need a new resistor for the fan speeds. The blower I think also also needs
to be replaced. looks like about $60 in parts. Looks easy to drop the blower and the resistor is right there also.
Thanks Brian
