Shrimp truck/Home Depot

OK, read about the shrimp truck behind Home Depot, usually there Thursday through Sunday. Seems like very positive comments regarding freshness, etc.

Anyone know the prices?

It's on the road behind Home Depot / Walmart but quit a few blocks north at the intersection with the road that comes down the hill past Waldo's.

On a previous post I wrote: " I asked him the price once and also if they were from San Felipe. Forgot the price but it seemed a lot higher then Kennedy's or Jesse and Son's and the answer was "No", he drove them from Puerto Penasco in Sonora which is about an 8 hour drive."

Freshness and availability are my concern. Price doesn't matter. I wouldn't eat them every day.

Can't today, Ralph, but it's on my list for my next Home Depot and Costco run....soon.
If no one beats me to it, I'll let you know....price and quality.

I know it is probably worth whatever the prices are... but, knowing the prices would be nice .... We are coming down on Friday!

Oh, and will have a nice lunch at El Primo Nava, just East of the San Nicholas !!!

BB... thanks for watching the video. To me, it's all about establishing limits and waste. Not about eating seafood for a meal.

True to a point. However shrimping is the most destructive of all methods of fishing in the SOC... for every one pound of shrimp harvested there is at least 7 pounds of unusable dead killed waste thrown over the side (due to 'new improved' harvesting rules) and just in our lifetime, in the last 50 years has reduced the overall total sea life in the SOC by 30%.

To remove one grain of sand from the boulder does not make it noticeably smaller, but alters the boulder nonetheless. Your single meal rings of "Save the whales, as long as it doesn't interrupt my comfort zone".

I enjoy camarones too, but don't imbibe any more do to the incredible waste and destruction the industry causes. People are always asking, "What can WE do?" It's a "What can I do?".

Once again, I apologize for the soap-box. I just find it all a dichotomy.

Dos cientos para kilo de grandes. Mas o menos.

It's a blue and white step van. Blue Bay (bahia azul) on the side maybe.
