I haven't personally heard any news from San Ignacio, but I did briefly hear from my friends at San Ignacio Lagoon this afternoon. They had a very long, loud night... But, surprisingly little damage. Mostly just debris to clean up. At that time, they had no word regarding others at the lagoon. Not much to go on, but it is something.

If flooding had not happened by this afternoon, I believe that means that the worst has passed. Jimena back in 2010 was the most devastating flood of the San Ignacio arroyo in a century, looks like the rain from Odile didn't hit that watershed this time. Good for San Ignacio, maybe not so good for other folks.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like anyone has heard from anyone in the town of San Ignacio yet. My post was regarding my friends out at San Ignacio Lagoon. They personally sustained very little property damage. Still waiting to hear more about the surrounding area.

Juanita is wonderful about posting from San Ignacio. I am sure she will post just as soon as she is able.

If you know someone with a land line, they seem to be working sporadically in central baja or call the police station.

I did receive word that people can drive in to the town of San Ignacio now. Sounds like the flood waters are receding. That is a good start!
