Baja Strong - Off Roaders Hurricane Relief
Fellow Baja Racers and enthusiasts NOW IS THE TIME to come to the aid of our brothers and sisters who desperately need our help after the devastating
Category 3 Hurricane Odile pounded the Peninsula last Sunday.
Tavo Vildosola, along with Cameron Steele, Tim Sanchez, Ryan Thomas, Oscar Ramos and many others are putting together a plan, in conjunction with the
Mexican Red Cross, that will allow for the distribution of much needed supplies to the hardest hit regions in Baja.
Vildosola’s Mexicali based Mexicana Logistics has committed to utilizing a portion of his fleet of semi trucks to transport relief items to a
centrally located staging location on the peninsula as early as this Friday afternoon. Oscar Ramos has arranged for police/military escorts for our
caravans.
Plans for how and where relief items will be distributed from the staging location are still being formulated and current road conditions will dictate
some of this. However, an elite group of experienced racers/chasers with capable vehicles will be used to help move relief items from the staging
location to remote/difficult to reach locations throughout the affected areas on the peninsula.
Your donation of any of the following items will be greatly appreciated and responsibly distributed to those in need.
Please remember any quantity helps.
——— PLEASE NO MEAT VEGETABLES OR FRUITS ———
• Canned food/goods of any kind
• Bottled water
• Diapers
• Bleach
• Cleaning supplies
• Buckets
• Brooms
• Towels / blankets

Sorry, it's Monday thru Friday at this time…but subject to change.
We have had an amazing response in the first 24 hours .. Monster Energy, Rockstar, Anhauscher-Busch and many private persons donating PALLETS of
water.
You can purchase items ONLINE with COSTCO and request them to be DROP SHIPPED to the US Location at Mexicana Logistics.
Every thing helps from 6 cans of food. to one package of diapers or 1 case of water….it all helps.
Simply buy it online and drop ship to ML listed in the post above.
Thanks!

The Baja Fools have $400 cash to go shopping and another $100 worth of water, toilet paper and non perishable food already gathered. We will be ready
to deliver everything to a San Diego area drop point on Tuesday afternoon. Current plans are to take everything to Mastercraft in Santee, hopefully
there will be further shipments going into Baja Sur.

BajaCactus overnight...
We have been informed that racers and volunteers helping in this endeavor will be traveling towards the south to deliver all donated items tomorrow
Monday.
Should you need them, BajaCactus will provide some rooms free of charge so you may have a good rest on your way down and/or when you are coming back
home.
Thank you for your efforts and please let me know if there is anything else you think we can help with.

Thanks everyone...Baja Strong sent a massive load of 50 pallets of donated water along with pallets of food to Cabo in a C130 over the weekend.
The first land caravan of Baja Strong Relief supplies are being transported by off road chase trucks and box van that will resupply the chase trucks
from spot to spot.
First delivery to LA Bay departs Monday and all the small villages down south of LA Bay along the Cortez coast that have been cut off because the dirt
roads are wiped out. We can and will get there providing some assistance to the people.
We plan to continue this relief effort for the next 6 weeks and then we will reevaluate.
The donation response has been amazing from the off road world, teams, racers, fans all coming together for the people of Baja.
The Mexican government has made the process very easy for us to cross the border into Baja with these supplies listed as humanitarian aid. If you
live in the San Diego area several news organizations have been to the warehouse talking with Tavo Vildosola and his father, Gustavo Sr., about their
company leading the charge on moving loads of supplies across the border.
Their are so many people who have donated we can only say thanks, thanks and more thanks!
Thanks Antonio for the generous offer of rooms for the down and backs...we will be in touch amigo!
More updates in the coming week.

On their way...
The Baja Strong caravan had a nice rest Monday night at BajaCactus. On Tuesday they departed towards the south with 18 trucks loaded with so much
needed relief supplies for the most affected towns and people of Baja (both north and south).
It is amazing to see the efforts and enthusiasm of this group and everyone involved in helping fellow humans in times of need... my most sincere
admiration to all of you!!!
Good luck guys and safe travel... God bless you!!!
