San Diego to Constitution
from POB: 9/19/2014 8 pm
I am in Constitucion, Misiones R.V Park. I drove from San Diego to San Ignacio Stayed the night and then to Constitucion today. gnarly Drive. The
Federal Police told me not to even try the south road out of San Ignacio to Datle and San Jaunico. San Ignacio was hit real bad. The Army is sleeping
in the Mission there..I gave a couple of them a ride from the check point to the Church were they are all sleeping on the floor. The river and lagoon
has soaked the town and many Palm ...trees have been de-rooted. On the way out of San Ingacio I had to drive through a river that was about 1.5 meters
deep. There are many roads that are out but with the help of heavy equipment they are making it possible to pass. Roads look like they are ready to
Crumble so if you are driving give yourself lots of room. The Private and Federal Mexicans are doing a great job in keeping the roads passable. Fuel
was not a much of a problem, only a few stations were closed. I made sure to top myself off with gas every chance I got.
I turned North at Insurgentes to head toward San Jaunico but the Santo Domingo River is flowing strong. I got word that the communities on the other
side of river are running low on Food, Water and Gas. There are two fishing boats that made it down the river to help fairy supplies back and forth
across the river. I'm afraid that wont be enough for the communities further North, like Cadeje and Datle. My Prayer is the river recedes tonight to
allow trucks to pass.
The owner of the Misiones RV Park just drove back from the Cabo area. There is no food on the shelves at any stores and the Gas Stations are out of
Fuel.

Supplies for the communities north of Lopez are being loaded into panga at the Lopez dock and sent north by a fleet of pangas.
So some aid is getting to them.
