Problems re-booking at Playa Grande CSL (from FB)

Question posted to the BN FB page:

-----------
We are having problems with Playa Grande about re-booking our 4 week vacation which is to start October 5th. They will not let us re-book all 4 weeks and insist we break up our trip using the last two weeks of October and reserving the remaining two cancelled weeks for 2015. This will cause us to buy a total of 4 airline tix instead of 2. Has anyone else run into a similar problem?

I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last night, but if a hotel responded to me like that I would cancel and find a better place....there are a lot down there to choose from ("from which to choose", for the grammar cops ) )

I may be off base here so here goes:

after the strongest hurricane in recorded history hits a place and does who knows what kind of damage someone who was too cheap to buy cancelation insurance for their trip was peeed off because the resort was having trouble meeting the travelers schedule?

hey Woody ..
at the risk of getting flamed - here-there-anywhere- heres my cupple-a-pesos on this ..
Some people are clueless about - well, lots of things .. and selfish too .. I lost count how many people called to ask/demand a refund, and never ask how we were, how our crews were, our staff .. I was pushed beyond my polite limit on a few occasions, so no doubt there will be some more TripAdvisor posts calling me a b*tch, liar, and so on ..

We are grateful, thankful, blessed .. but many were not .. Many locals and ex-pat that live full time in Cabo have lost a lot, or everything. In several cases of the ex-pats, I tried to, um, well, explain (BEFORE they bought a resale) how things are, with specific regard to construction .. but not being a builder, or contractor, what the hey could I know, ya know?

I've taken so many deep deep deep breaths .. counted to ten umpteen times .. and consciously spend less time at the computer than I usually do .. gotta give my head and heart a break ..

I also smile and cheer for those along Baja who survived and view the repairs and clean up as a way to make it better than before ..

Peace, love, and definitely a cold adult beverage or two, and fresh fish tacos for everyone :-) LG

I made these comments not out of disrespect for the hotel as much as feeling similarly to the other replies...but didn't express myself well.

I, too, get frustrated when I hear tourist's comments being insensitive to the impact of Odile on the infrastructure and local families....and focusing only on their personal inconvenience.

Perhaps I should have said....."Hey, the place has enough problems at this time.....look for another place to stay.....and stop whining on FB."

not a clue

Seems if the original poster posted it to Facebook he won't have a clue as to the BajaNomad insights. Too bad, he deserves to read the above replies.
