I went from San Bruno to Rosarito Beach on Tuesday, no problems with gas and the road was good. Several places where there is flood damage but it is well marked.

Just wondering how many years it has been since anyone traveling Mex 1 had to worry about gas.

There are a crapload of stations in the San Quintin valley. From Santa Maria South, you've got a bunch through GN and beyond.

If anything, the road conditions are something I wonder about down in BCS after the hurricane.

Vernon, there are new stations all along Hwy 1 EXCEPT for the stretch between El Rosario and Jesus Maria / Guerrero Negro. That's still status-quo, including the 'old highway' stretches of potholes with old VW's trapped inside of 'em. Otherwise, smooth sailing, no more worries. Fill up in El R. or there's a new station about 8 miles south of San Quintin just before you get to El Pabellon beach camp.

I still 'worry' about that over-the-top stretch; my V-10 gas guzzler even with a 35 gallon tank still makes it, but just barely when i'm hauling the 5th wheel. A strong headwind and i'm sweating bullets. But the days of 'always carry extra jerry cans' are fading fast. Have a safe trip, and keep the black side down.

I don't have a BUCKET LIST, but I do have a F***- IT LIST a mile long!
