Bahia Tortuga

We had a memorial ceremony for one of our fellow moto riders in March. Left a vial's worth of ashes into the bay. I've been searching but haven't found any reports of how the road in to the town held up and what conditions were left by Simon.

Has anyone traveled out or heard how they fared and what conditions are like?

Thanks shari, it doesn't sound like many folks actually travel out that direction to the bay. There were spots along that road that I remember being very susceptible to washing out and I don't see how they could reblade without some fill material. I guess there aren't any Nomads who reside there so I appreciate your info.

If somebody has direct knowledge of the road and community, chime in anytime.....

You d'man, DK.

That's a fabulous shot!

Looks like the only thing changed since 1955 is that some of the beachfront property in the foreground has been occupied. One of them being a church and another one is a restaurant

Lots more changes, they had a really nice looking park and the cannery is dilapidated with abundant bullet holes....don't think it's been functional for a long, long time.....

That panga just rolled on up the beach....no trailer needed.....the park is right in front of the beach that the panga landed on.....
