restaurant south of loreto?
I saw it posted here a few weeks ago. It's south of Loreto, on 1, with a nice view of the sea. It's nothing fancy, but looks good.

You are either thinking of El Sabor or the Clam Shack, both on Hw 1 and south of Loreto and both very good.

Twelve miles south of Loreto on your left as you drive south.

Maybe this is the place? Could be it has changed names or has just become commonly known as the Clam Shack?
Vista Al Mar Cafe

Going south a couple years ago, we stopped at this roadside beach cafe for lemonades, chips, & salsa. Sorry, no further menu report.....the place
looked to be busy with beverage & food orders. I don't think it is more than a few miles south of Loreto...and before the Tripui/Escondido
turnoff?? Then again...
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

That's the place... Closed on Mondays..

$4.95 per dozen for Chocolate Clams earlier this year when I stopped. An incredible deal with great views.

It's at Playa Notri.
Just over the first hill south of Loreto/Nopolo.

Ahhh... Vista al Mar! They used to have the best sopa de mariscos on the planet but changed their broth recipe a while back. Not quite as good to me,
but still worth the trip. Can't get any more fresh than when a guy puts on a mask and snorkel and comes back with ingredients for your dinner.
Do they still close at dusk?
