Magicjack?
I have been using MJ for a couple of years, and have been pretty happy with it...BUT lately the quality seems to have gone down.....Garbled sometimes
to the point of being unusable...Anyone else have this impression? Is Skype an alternative?

I've had the same problems since Hurricane Odile. It all goes with the internet going in and out

I've been using mine with my iPhone for the last year or two without issues, average 3mb speed, run a speed test to make sure your download and upload
speeds are good.
Also, I cannot use any other devices or computers at the same time of a call as it eats up bandwidth and makes the call quality suffer.

Chuckie, we have used MJ for about 5 years now.. most problems have been with the internet.. if you are using wifi then change to cable from
router to computer... that seems to help a lot.. also depends on the service provider ours is working great with the local provider right now...
If you are using the wifi in the RV park there you probably will have problems at different times when more folks are on line... also if they are
using the same local we are, he provides internet to the school across the street from you... and he also has had some recent problems with
equipment..
good luck

Willardguy, I am a low tech guy, got dragged kicking and screaming into the internet age. Does that device plug into your receiver, or your
neighbors router?

I am 5 year user an have found uplode speed is almost always the thing that is lacking. on a good day I have 10 meg down and .8 up. I can drop to 1.0
down and still talk but if I go much below .75 I start braking up.

it just gets plugged into the usb port on your computer along with the magicjack gizmo. if it were your own internet service it would plug into your
modem (you wouldn't need the external antenna.
