El Mirador/Loreto Hwy Delay

Some friends arriving south said the construction at El Mirador is finished. No hour long delay. Can anyone else confirm this? What a beautiful spot to have to wait but sure slowed down the morning push to La Paz. Any other road reports? Mil Gracias. Tio

True. Came through yesterday and work has completed.
However, between Loreto and La Paz there are 4 major detours. The first one , going south, is after you get through the winding stretch to the top of the hill where the long straight stretch to Insurgentes starts, there is a rough looooong detour.
The next one is before you get to the cell station going down to the bay. Loooong and rough. And the final two are on the loong stretch going to the check station coming to El Centenario, both long and rough.
Happy travels !!! :P:biggrin::biggrin:

Thanks Vandy. The Hwy 1 thru there is still two lanes, right? Those other sections aren't any fun but will be nice when finished. Any work going on north of Insurgentes on a new hwy? They were slowly clearing and widening up for a rumored new road. Viva Baja. Tio:bounce:
