I remember the old Ariel square four motorcycles, and wondered if this Nomad was based on a motorcycle engine, or automotive power plant.
From what I can find, it appears that Honda bought the name plate and has been producing a Honda Civic powered, tube chassis vehicle named Atom. The Nomad must be a version of that.

Not the off-road version but the Ariel Atom street version. happened in Rancho Santa Fe (northern SD County).
