Sunrises at Coyote Bay
A Place in the Sun.

It's been my pleasure to have enjoyed over 40 years of sunrises at Coyote Bay ...and, like a loved one, they always delight you with a new &
beautiful look. Thus making the concept of sun worship nearly as old as mankind itself.

You sure don't make it easy! I like "The Lonesome Chair" # 7 Maybe not the best of the sunrise shots but it just strikes me as what I do in the
mornings. Just me and the sunrise. Thanks

SUNRISE
I remember a poem or something that went something like this
A Sunrise is a painting that God created for your eye only and is so unique there are no two alike and will never be seen again.
Using that formula it would make it impossible judge just behold and cherish.

Your favorite must be #10/16 since they are nearly identical. The sail boat does add interest to the composition as well.

Thanks for all the nice replies... Everyone enjoys a sunrise, right?. (And not to worry...sleeping through one is enjoyable, too.)

Russ, I know what exactly you mean. Always being an early riser, one of my had-to-do things when I first moved to Coyote Bay was to marvel at the
gorgeous sunrises. What a great way to enjoy nature's blessings and start the day. A good cup of coffee, homemade biscotti and a possible good photo
is just icing on the cake.
Hah..I looked forward to it so much each day that I would be rising an hour before the 'Next Attraction'. Then, as silently as I could...
ease out of bed, brew coffee, fill a thermos, appropriate a few biscotti, check my camera, and carry all out to the chair on my seawall where, Cedric
the beach dog, was patiently waiting for me ...and my biscotti.
I suspect you do pretty much the same.

J.P., sunrises are, as you know, very inspirational. I am truly amazed at what great poems and thoughts are expressed by way of something so simple,
yet complex..as a sunrise. Like you, I relish each poem and sunrise in a different way.
Bob, my favorites change with moods, but I do indeed like those two very well. It was at a time when I was experimenting with the ' Rule of Thirds'
of photography. But placing one subject 1/3 up or down in the frame, it allows you to have 2 main subjects so to speak. In my case, the prime was
the sunrise and a secondary subject..was the Drascom sailboat. I tried it both ways...1/3 up and 1/3 down..and even in the middle, although I found
that too normal and boring. Using the Rule of Thirds, I agree that it adds something to the photo. As is always intended, whether the effect is
Good or bad is the viewers choice.
Glad you all liked these sunrise photos...and glad that I could take them.
