| Ensenada Road Construction

 Road Construction

Beginning Monday, January 26th, the Costero route - Boulevard Lazaro Card##as - will be closed from where you enter Ensenada at Blvd Teniente Azueta
on the north to Ave Castillo on the south for a major reconstruction and repaving project that is expected to continue for six months.

North and southbound traffic will both be diverted into a single lane in the either the northbound lanes or the southbound lanes (similar to the Baja
races) during the construction.

You may want to use the 9th street route to transit through town or 2nd, 3rd or 4th streets if headed to businesses in the construction area

It would help me tremendously to hear from someone thats experienced notable delay with this Ensenada detour/slowdown. Going thru next Monday and
would love to make Sta Inez at a reasonable hour.

Construction slated to start today, January 26th.

Just take the 9th street (commercial) route through town, it will put you onto Hwy 1 south without going through the construction zone

For those of us that don't remember street names, do you mean to say the main hwy 1 road past the navy base big head statues is under construction?

 Yes

The construction zone starts where you enter the business district from the north - as a reference - where Anthonys is, to the Riviera Cultural center
and the Corona Hotel on the south.......so it will be north of the navy base.

Take the 9th street commercial route by the Hotel Coral to bypass the construction. If you need to get to the tourist area from 9th street take Ave
Riveroll west. It will dead end at the park with the three heads and the giant flagpole

Actually, the turn off into and leaving town by the Hotel Coral is Tenth street. It doesn't much matter going south, but going north on Ninth will
force you to jog over one block at the north end of town.
I hope this doesn't serve to confuse, but if you're hauling a load, it may help.

To be technical and pick some nits, the turnoff by the Hotel Coral is actually Bahia de La Paz which turns into tenth.

Just follow the big green road direction signs, and all will be well

| If you feel adventurous

The new "truck route" off of Hwy 3 is still not officially open however you can take it as far as Ruiz where it dead ends.

Take Ruiz west to Ambar, left on Ambar to Reforma (Hwy 1) then right onto Reforma southbound....

Straight up Reforma (Hwy 1), follow the signs to Tijuana.

You will turn left on 9th street, then a jog to 10th. Left on 10th will put you on the coastal route to the toll road or Tecate....semis do it all the
time

We go through Ensenada frequently I tried the truck route ,don't like it. so we go down through the construction zone since it began they have flag
people directing the flow of traffic. Personally I think the flow moves better than normal. We passed through there at noon today easy peasey.
