In two other posts this week, I said I bought 200 pesos of Magna Sin at the Gonzaga (Alfonsina's) Pemex station, on Sunday Jan. 2, 2005... (read my
wordy posts, they actually have some details in them! )

No... If you didn't get a reply. (I reply to all emails I read), it may have been flushed as unknown junk mail... sorry! Can you U2U me your email so
I will recognize it? Putting 'Baja' in the subject line helps!
I did get the U2U about the slanderous lies being told about me on another message board, that you saw.... and I replied to you in the U2U.

Me No... when you say Rancho Grande is closed, do you just mean they are no longer selling gas or the whole store is closed? It's always been a great
place to get some beer and ice (when the ice maker works) and other things when you need them.

The SAME boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It's about what you are made of NOT the circumstance.

The road is horrible and there are many banditos. Better to stay away.

Rest easy, Rancho Grande's not going anywhere. Only not serving fuel. Pemex rules prevent non-licensed fuel sales in a specified radius from a Pemex
station.

Tom, the roads (to me) were fantastic. The only 'rough' part was about 10-15 miles south of Puertecitos where more rocks in the roadbase were sticking
up, than before. The bad pavement from Puertecitos north (15-20 miles) is also slow going.
The only bumps otherwise were in front of Coco's Corner (his topes). However, if you pull into his parking area to buy a can of Pacifico and sign his
book, the topes (speed bumps) are avoided!
Bob H: As Nikon stated, when the Pemex is open, Rancho Grande closes its gas pump... afterall, who would pay $3/gal. if it is $2 across the street?
In Catavi?a, the Pemex pump is closed and wrapped up! All that effort putting in a new pump, and already closed. However Alfonso is there (across the
street) selling and now a second vendor was in Catavi?a selling.
All this was observed a week ago...
