March 2015: Cabo del Este to Tecate

A bit of construction North of La Paz. 34-36 degrees C to GN.

Pot holes near Catavina, slow down for the Vado just before Catavina. Way down.

No hassles at check points or anywhere else. Lots of traffic heading south on the Ruta de Vina today. 30 minutes to cross border at Tecate today. 34 degrees C from SQ through LA. LA traffic slow due to accidents on Saturday p.m.

Salud,
W

Potholes near Catavina. Where have I heard that before? I have experienced many construction areas on Mex 1 in BCS over the years that have caused delays. Sadly, the new pavement breaks out in pot holes almost immediately. I'm guessing that there is some sort of favoritism in BCS that grants contractors work although they are not prepared to do the job correctly.
