renewing driver's license in La Paz

First time renewing my license and a few questions--

Over 65, are you required to get another physical exam?

My license expired a week ago--is that a problem?

New photo, I suppose?

Anything else I should be prepared for?

Thanks for the help.

Mood: I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Every district is so different. I am sorry I cannot answer your question about La Paz but this is how it went down in Loreto. I renewed when I was over 65 and there was nothing different from when I originally received the license 3 years prior. Absolutely no medical exam and it was easy peasy nice and easy to renew. They even took my word on my blood type and I have heard that other areas make you go get your blood type taken. I think I did need to bring in another picture. I was in and out of there in 1/2 hour. This was done on March 26, 2013 so we will see around March of 2016 if there is any changes to the renewal.

Maybe you should come to Loreto to get it renewed?

I renewed in La Paz a little over a year ago and they take your photo for you right on the spot when you renew and issue the renewed license at the same time. I imagine it's the same routine these days. If over 65, you need a letter from a doctor. My license had expired too and it wasn't a problem.

2 weeks ago: You need a letter from your doctor. They take the photo on site. There is a special line for jubilados :)
